Publication + Print Design
Liberty University * Spring 2021
BRIEF
During college, I created Authentic Protrusions, a magazine aimed at educating and inspiring those curious about the fashion landscape. My goal was to delve into the ever-evolving nature of fashion, through extensive research, I aimed to spotlight the enduring influence of vintage fashion trends on contemporary style.
Moreover, I sought to ignite a sense of exploration in readers, encouraging them to embrace their personal style and modes of self-expression. Along this journey, I collected photography and dialogue, allowing me to uncover the profound significance of these concepts through the experiences of others.

design process 〰️
* From the initial steps of creating a color palette, choosing typefaces, and creating a logo, the conception of this magazine was one that required diligent planning and preparation.
* After gathering my content, and writing out each section of the magazine, it was time to piece everything together. This portion of the process was rewarding seeing all of the elements work together to create a story.
* After establishing the magazine's foundation, including its purpose and basic design elements, I delved into researching my topic and organizing photoshoots. Photography was an area I aimed to develop, and it became a key focus of growth for me. Through exploration and trial and error, I captured dynamic photos that complemented the topics I was researching.
* This was definitely one of the most challenging parts in terms of coordinating the stylistic elements of the photography, in the pursuit of fitting the theme and style that was already established in my magazine.
